Why do you have on a teacher sweater ?

Hey Fashionheads,Thanksgiving was the day before yesterday and I decided to be little festive.
(Sidenote: By the way HAPPY BELATED THANKSGIVING!! Okay I know I'm a little late but it it the thought that counts, right?)
I wore a sweater that I got a while back from Goodwill. It is very colorful and cute, plus it had shoulder pads so I really fell in love with it. I didn't want to dress up so I paired my sweater with some navy blue leggings and my red Chuck Taylor's. I wanted to be as comfortable as possible because I knew I was going to be eating LOTS of food.
I really, really love the detail on the sweater. It's very pretty. One of my cousin's asked me and I quotes, "Why do you have on a teacher's sweater?" The only thing I could do was laugh and reply, "because I like it!" (Not much of a comeback but owe well lol)  It's a very diverse sweater that can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. I just felt like for Thanksgiving, it would be perfect.  !

Vintage Red Blazer !!!

Hola Fashion-heads !!! Okay, so I purchased this red vintage blazer from Goodwill like a couple weeks ago. I just thought it would be hot and I knew it would probably get some negative attention at first due to the fact that it was so "grandma ish" or "outdated" but I fell in love with it. As a result, I kept it up in my closet for some time  because I didn't know exactly how I wanted too wear the blazer. With this cold weather in Indianapolis, Indiana, I decided to bring my "fash" out for people to blab about. (ha, kinda clever)
While searching through my clothes, I came up with a simple yet chic look to pair with my vintage blazer. As seen in the pictures above, I decided to go with some black footed tights, a black bandeau top, some black pumps. I didn't want to take any action away from my blazer! With the blazer being this bright candy apple red, I knew that I wanted it to be my center point of my outfit. Simplicity was the word that kept coming to mind while putting everything together. While walking around my house and looking at myself in the mirror, I knew that I definitely wanted to button the blazer. By buttoning the blazer, I felt as if it gave off a more  more polished look yet still sexy.
As far as my hair and accessories, I knew that I didn't want to go over the top. It was unquestionable that my hair should go into a high bun to keep the sophistication of the look. The pearl necklace came into play because the buttons on the blazer are gold and pearl. Topped off with a lucid black across body bag, my look was now completed.
With this look you are sure to feel confident, sexy, and fierce with a sprinkle of high-class. (double snap)

Friday Night.

Hey Fashion-heads !!! Fridays night was a blast. I went out with some friends and I ended up being a good time. As seen in the photo above, I wore a white and blue stripped shirt, a burgundy skirt, navy blue socks, nude shoes, with green accessories. You may ask why green? Honestly I really don't know. I just felt like my outfit was missing something and decided to add more color.
Side-note: REMEMBER MATCHING IS OUT; if you feel like it goes then wear it. I always add my personal style to every outfit I wear. !
This outfit can also be dressed down with a denim jacket and some flat boots. Whether you are going to the movies, to a bar, or or a lunch date this look is sure to catch peoples eyes and give you some oomph. This was a very affordable outfit that was under 30 dollars and it's all from my favorite store Forever 21.

True Blue !

Hey Fashionheads.! This look was yet another last minute look I through together walking around the mall. Some of my friends and I had planned on going out but no one really knew what they wanted to wear. I walked around the mall for hours ! Just when I decided to give up and I stopped in H&M. I looked at a couple of dresses and different tops I could pair with jeans and a cute heel but nothing really caught me eye. I walked around still browsing and ran into this blue dress. It kinda of gave me a denim look but its really soft like cotton. I tried the dress on an was sold. I loved it .! Now It time to figure out a shoe.
Shoes for a dress like this was easy. You can wear any color shoe with this dress. I decided to go home and just work with what I already had. While at home, I went through all of my shoes and came across my blue wedges. Okay yeah, I know what your probably thinking; why would you want to blue on blue together? Honestly, I thought it was cute (lol). So that's what I did ! Its very simple but cute and flirty. <3

Say What ?

Sooo Hey peeps. ! This is look was inspired by my red Chuck Taylor's. I had bought them and I wanted to wear them immediately. I didn't want to dress them the traditional way by just wearing all black, as a result I decided to wear a brown top. This top is sheer with a cut out in the back. I love the way it just sit on your body effortlessly. It's so easy and breezy. I paired them with some black straight leg jeans, a red purse, and some red lipstick.
For me traditional is boring. SO the brown just gave this look some "umph". (lol)

Fall in love with FALL . !

I was chilling at home and one of my good friends came over. She has invited me to a art show but I was no where near ready. My hair was all over my head and I had on sweats. This look only took me like 10 minutes to put together; probably less than that. I just wanted to cute yet comfortable since I was going to be walking around these different art galleries. I ended up with the look above. This outfit is mainly from forever 21 except the purse and the tights. I got the purse from Goodwill and the tights from Wally World AKA Wal-Mart #ha . I absolutely love this outfit it's so flirty yet simple and cute. !

When in Doubt....WEAR RED. !

Hey fashionheads !!! This is my mommy. I dressed her for her Christmas party at work and she looked amazing. This look can be worn to a number of events. Hot date or even a holiday party, this outfit is very versatile. I love it. Especially the dress. This dress reminds me of Carrie from Sex and the City except hers was white. But whether you find white or red, this look is sure to get you a positive crowd response and knock their socks off. ha-ha.
